Professional photographer Beth Buglione first picked up a camera at age 10 and instantly fell in love with the medium. A self-taught photographer, she graduated from the University of Oregon with a BA in Journalism. She worked a variety of communications jobs, including photojournalist for the Capital Press and Gazette-Times newspapers.
"Photography, for me, is a healing meditation," she said. "It's unspoken emotion. The greatest compliment to me is when someone tells me one of my photographs moved them. The only thing more beautiful than a Grand Tetons sunset or mountain sunrise is that moment of human interaction and connection through art. Patiently waiting hours for just the right light allows me to witness the beauty of the landscape and bring that beauty into my camera. I do my work instinctually and with intention by focusing on all parts of the frame to bring an image to life. "I believe in minimal computer processing as nature is plenty striking on Her own. Staying true to my craft motivates me to expose one-of-a-kind images that I hope touch people in deeply healing ways." Her photography includes collections from Iceland, Australia, Thailand, Canada, England, Puerto Rico and the United States. She has won numerous awards including international recognition for work in the United Kingdom and a People's Choice award in Sydney, Australia.
